App Update 7/20/19

Our engineering and product teams have been working tirelessly to add some fantastic new features in this newest version. Take a look at this article to learn about the new features!

Our engineering and product teams have been working tirelessly to add some fantastic new features in this newest version. Allow me to introduce to you some of the new tools:

  • Task Board: these are pre-programmed dialogue boxes used for initiating and teaching common conversations in our virtual environments. For example, a dialogue box at the airport counter that leads the student and teacher through a conversation around buying a plane ticket and checking a bag. You will find the Task Board tool on the right side of the screen on your teacher desktop app.
  • Character movement: when in VR, the student can point the controller at a specific location, hold down the trigger, and teleport to that location. When they hold down the trigger, they will now see a loading circle that shows when they can release and teleport.
  • Object interactions: students can now combine certain objects in our scenes to create new interactions. For example, in the airport scene, they can take a credit card and take it to the ATM, and the ATM will then dispense cash
  • Audio tool: certain scenes now have the ability to play scenario-specific audio
  • New scenes: doctor's office and backyard BBQ
  • 360 images: added scene-specific 360 images that can be viewed through a tool on the right toolbar
  • Voice chat system: updated and improved for clearer communication
